I wish.....

Friday is my best friend's engagement....and I so wish I could be with her.....

I was just talking to her and was asking her zillions of questions so that I could feel I was there and living the moment with her...

Why is it that as we grow in life, the opportunity to choose between what we can do and what we want to do reduces?

I wish this does not happen a lot in life..

Love always,
Dips

Just Because.......

There are times in life when things happen just because....they has to happen for the sake of it.

as we grow older the opportunity does not reduces its we who for the sake of our other conveniences don't bother about it.

and moreover as we grow older we unknowingly start becoming hypocrite..

just think of the days when we all were small kids and used to njoy rain...but now even we want to do we dont....can you tell the reason...

so in life whenever therz such situation when heart and mind collide always listen to ur heart coz it speaks the truth..

i agree with the comment from yogesh and i have always felt that it is important to be aware of the child in us because that allows us to explore ourselves as well as the world around us with a real sense of satisfaction. As easy as that sounds, it can get really challenging sometimes because adulthood brings about many inhibitions, restrictions and so on.

so i think you jumped to a conclusion that as we grow our opps to choose btn what we CAN and what we WANT to do reduces. we must keep exploring... at least that's the optimist in me.

at the same time i think i understand where your question is coming from, which is your desire to be with a dear friend on a special occasion. and that's where perhaps the emotional detachment part from the Gita comes in. it's definitely different from being a mere coping mechanism. i am far from knowing or experiencing it to the fullest but i think i recognize how liberating it can be.

anyway....i better sleep now... while we reflect on the past and dream about the future, we must live in the moment. will talk to you soon...
congrats on starting a blog!

Yogi and Mai, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I totally agree with you about being aware of the child within us (and I try to let that child out every-time it wants to, and I am sure you can vouch for that :) ). Where I was really coming from is where there is no conflict between heart and mind, but there is still no way to fulfil that dream...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and keep sharing them on my later blogs...I should work for now and catch up with both of you soon...

Love ya both!
